Research has shown that moving can be one of the most stressful times in people’s lives, up there with death and divorce. Newcomers to Phuket may find it difficult at first to settle in, and athletic activities are a great way to meet likeminded people. April luncheon @ Bampot
Approximately 30 members and guest and one darling little toddler! enjoyed a wonderful lunch on April 21st at Bampot Kitchen and Bar. They are not usually open for lunch so we were very privileged that they opened for us. Chef Jamie and his team served a delicious array of food; served family style and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. As it was also Maggy Wigman’s 60th birthday, a special cake was served along with a wonderful donation of bubbles from the birthday girl herself. A very pleasant afternoon indeed.
On 24th of May, 5 ladies went out against torrential rain to k. Somchai’s garden to see rare helliconia and few sorts of Musa of different colours. There, they also found other plants which were not grown elsewhere in Phuket such as Monstera deliciosa which they use it’s leaves for flower arrangements. And others are Passiflora foedita ( stinking passion flower,), an interesting sweet fruit when it is ripe. It was an interesting trip and after delicious lunch at Vareeya Resort and Restsurant, we all got home with one or two Gardenia gjllerupii from Joan. Thank you very much.
